JN Series
Following the success of the prototype guitar for Burn guitarist Julian Nicholas (see Gallery page – Burn it Up), Ethos Guitars are proud to announce the first production models.
There are 2 models in the range, the JN1 features a double locking trem, while the JN2 has a hard tail bridge. The dimensions of the 2 guitars are otherwise identical.
The Ebony fingerboards feature wide medium Stainless Steel frets set to give a 24.75” scale length.The nut (R1 locking on the JN1) is 40 mm wide, and the Birds Eye maple neck with it’s unique headstock, features a slim profile for ease of playing.
Unusually 
for Ethos Guitars, the neck is bolted to the body, but the heel is rounded and shaped into the neck to provide a seamless feel to the join.
The body is made of one piece of African Mahogany, although there is an option of a figured Maple (or other exotic timbers) cap.
The body can be ordered either in standard (flat top) or carved profile.
The standard body has comfort cuts on the both the front and rear. Standard finish is a single colour with Nitro-cellulose lacquer.The bridges for both models are made by Gotoh, and the machine heads for the production model will be the new 510 type. Standard finish for the hardware will be Cosmo Black, but Gold and Chrome are available as options. Both the hardtail bridge and locking trem are located in close fitting cavities.
The controls for the JN are 
Julian’s preference of a single volume and a 3 way switch. But extra pots and 5 way switches are also available.
The pickups are from either Seymour Duncan or Bare Knuckle pickups depending on preference, and are fitted without pickup rings.
Flush fitting rings are an optional extra.
