Coronet
This customer had an unusual request. He was looking for what he believed was an early Epiphone, but all he had to go on was a very blurred photo. He had been to a number of music shops but no-one was able to help him. After some research, it was found to be a 1965 Epiphone Coronet. Rather than build an exact replica, the customer ordered a guitar influenced by the Coronet, but with the some individual features. The single P90 pickup was replaced by a pair of Bare Knuckle Crawler humbuckers mounted on a re-shaped scratchplate. The output jack was also changed for a different style. The machine heads are Grover mini locking type, and the bridge is a Wilkinson Aluminium one piece with locking posts. The construction is standard Ethos, with a Mahogany/Maple/Mahogany neck through a Mahogany body. The pots both feature pull switches for coil taps and phase switching.
