Aphrodite
The Ethos Aphrodite
features the standard Ethos neck-through-body construction. In this case the
neck is a Mahogany/Maple/Mahogany laminate, with the standard U-channel truss
rod and carbon fibre reinforcment. The 12" radius fingerboard is Ebony with
24 Stainless Steel frets and natural shell position markers. The body wings are
Mahogany , and the top is book matched Birds-eye Maple. The machine heads are
by Grover and incorporate a locking mechanism. The pick-ups are by EMG and are
mounted in flat Gold plated brass rings.The controls are all recessed into the
body, and the selector switch is a 5 position type which gives a wide range of
tone options. The bridge is a Hipshot tremelo unit. This particular example is
finished in translucent Lilac, with a special lacquer which changes from Blue
to Violet.
An Aphrodite of this
specification would cost £1441 which
includes a hard case.
Note all materials and components can be tailored to individual
requirements, this style of guitar could be built with one piece body wings
(like the Washington), or painted in a solid colour, with single coil pickups
and chrome or black hardware for example.
