Manistra

Although Electric Mandolins are nothing new, most solid bodied electric mandolins are quite traditional. We thought it was time that Mandolin players had the choice of something a little more exotic, and that guitar players would find more familiar.

The bridge and pickups are made in-house for this particular model (which is very much a prototype at this stage, and we will be looking at alternatives for production models.

The body style for the prototype is influenced by the Sinistra guitar, but production models can be made in any body style you like. With a choice of woods to suit all tastes.

The Manistra is built in exactly the same way as our custom guitars. This model features a 3 piece figured Maple through neck, Mahogany Wings, and a Flame Maple top. The Rosewood fingerboard is also radiused.

The electrics are full size pots (volume and tone) with minature knobs, and a minature 3 way selector switch. The machine heads are mini Grovers, but locking tuners are also an option.

Although prices would vary depending on spec, a model similar to the prototype would be around £500. If you are interested, please contact us direct for a quote.
